BRITA Professional filters funds through to HA

Filter replacement initiative raises cash for charity and looks to improve water quality across the industry

BRITA Professional has shown its support to industry charity Hospitality Action (HA), raising £4,687 through its filter amnesty.

The water filtration specialist donated £1 for each Traditional AquaQuell filter and AquaQuell Purity replacement cartridge ordered in November.

The company encouraged as many customers as possible to exchange old water filters in a bid to raise as much cash as possible for HA – and improve profitability for operators across the industry.

“We're over the moon to have raised this amount for such a deserving charity,” says Anthony Spruce, sales director at BRITA Professional. “This is just the beginning of our ongoing support for Hospitality Action and have more plans for future fundraising.

“Our customers have also benefited from our filter pledge. An ineffective filter can negatively affect the taste, aroma and appearance of food and drink, not to mention damage machinery such as coffee machines, combi ovens and vending machines. All these factors can have a serious impact on profitability so it pays to have a fully functioning water filter.”

Penny Moore, chief executive of Hospitality Action, adds: “We’re ecstatic that BRITA Professional has raised such a fantastic total. The support of businesses such as BRITA is invaluable in our efforts to support people in our industry. Not only have the team helped us raise some much needed funds for Hospitality Action, but operators have improved the quality of the food and beverages served in their establishment by replacing their filters..”
