At BRITA, everything is focused on our natural resources. We therefore see caring for the environment as a special responsibility. We try to avoid waste and make an effort to fully recycle all our products.

There are very few companies these days who don't at least discuss the issue of sustainability. Here at BRITA, we started thinking about recycling before it even became a trendy topic. We simply want to treat the environment fairly.

Nature will be grateful

We are happy if you buy BRITA products from us, but we are also happier if you return them to us: in the form of used cartridges that we feed into the recycling process. All parts of BRITA filter cartridges can be completely reprocessed and recycled. In the UK, 2011 we recycled 1.2 million filter cartridges and we aim to significantly better that in 2012 with your help.

Innovations for a longer service life

One innovation in the BRITA range is the "BRITA Meter" — an even more intelligent indicator that tells you when it is time to replace the cartridge. An integrated display uses appropriate icons to indicate the remaining capacity and impending cartridge replacement. This lets you get the maximum use out of your cartridges.
