BRITA UK STANDARD WARRANTY, ADDITIONAL GUARANTEE & SPARE PART CONDITIONS

When you purchase BRITA products, you will also receive coverage from the BRITA Standard Warranty. This coverage operates alongside and in addition to your statutory rights under UK consumer law. You can also obtain additional benefits by registering for the 12-month BRITA Additional Guarantee. Should your product be defective or if it does not conform with the contract of sale, you can choose to make a claim under, the BRITA Standard Warranty or the optional 12-month BRITA Additional Guarantee (whichever is applicable).

  • Cost of coverage – Available at no additional cost. Must register product at BRITA Product Registration – Extended Warranty within 2 years from date of purchase and activate the Additional Guarantee when registering.

CONDITIONS APPLYING TO THE STANDARD WARRANTY AND ADDITIONAL GUARANTEE: 

  • Only valid from the date of original purchase of new, boxed products only. Second hand purchases or gifted product warranties will still be subject to proof of the original purchase. 

  • Proof of purchase must state the purchase date and specific product purchase. 

  • Ex. Display products are not covered under this warranty because of their intended purpose. 

  • Customers must register their product and retain proof of purchase using the following website address www.register.brita.net within the 2-year period. If they wish to extend the BRITA Standard Warranty to include the BRITA Additional Guarantee, then they must elect to do so on initial registration. 

  • For BRITA taps to be eligible, they must be one of the following models: mypure SLIM, mypure A1 3-way round, mypure A1 3-way rectangle, mypure P1 3-way round, mypure P1 3-way rectangle and the mypure P1 stand-alone tap. 

  • The guarantees do not apply to damage from improper use or incorrect installation. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (as amended from time to time), a consumer has no rights to claim for faults that appear as a result of fair wear and tear such as accumulation of system debris or limescale. 

  • If products are not registered for the BRITA Additional Guarantee, BRITA are not liable under these guarantees for any defects that arise after the first 2 years. However, but this does not affect your statutory right to claim under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (as amended from time to time). 

CONDITIONS APPLYING TO ADDITIONAL GUARANTEE 

  • Customers who are residents in the UK are entitled to extend their 2-year warranty without extra charge for an additional 12 month period (total 3 year guarantee), subject to complying with the conditions of guarantee below, including opting for the extended guarantee at the time of registration. This guarantee covers material defects and functional errors that can be traced to faults in production or construction and existed at the time of purchase. 
     
  • In the event of a justified complaint, BRITA customer service will decide on a case-by-case basis whether to replace the defective part or the entire product with a same or comparable item, or to refund the entire or part of the original purchasing price. Further claims, in particular for damages due to non-compliance, are excluded.
     
  • Guarantee services do not provide an extension of the 3 year guarantee period, nor do they initiate a new guarantee period. The guarantee period for spare parts fitted in the context of repairs shall end with the guarantee period for the product as a whole. 
     
  • The guarantee is only valid insofar as all conditions for the guarantee service are fulfilled. 

BRITA SPARE PARTS PROVISION 

  • BRITA offer a customer spare parts service which is a voluntary service of BRITA SE. The distribution of spare parts is at the discretion of BRITA customer service and is subject to availability and proof of purchase. There is no legal claim to the provision of spare parts to the customer. 
     
  • In the event that spare parts are not available for the product, BRITA Customer Service may at their discretion provide an alternative solution. 
     
  • Whilst BRITA offer this spare parts service they are not responsible for the labour costs associated with repairing or replacing the parts nor are they responsible for incorrect installation modification or repair by an installer or repairer not authorised by BRITA.
